Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of SideBrain ("we", "us", "our"), an AI co-pilot for solo creators operated by an independent founder (SideBrain Ltd.). By using sidebrain.app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Plain-English summary

  • You are paying for a software service. We do not own your generated content.
  • You can cancel any time. We refund the last paid month within 90 days, no questions.
  • You are responsible for what you publish — the AI is a co-pilot, not a publisher.
  • We do not train models on your private content. Period.
  • If you spam, abuse, or attempt to scrape — we will ban you and not refund.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for the security of your account and any actions taken under it. Notify us immediately at help@sidebrain.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Generate content that violates the law, including defamation, harassment, or CSAM.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label our service without written permission.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our prompts or model artifacts.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited bulk email or to spam social platforms.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan quotas, or LLM cost caps.

4. Subscription, billing, refunds

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time from the Customer Portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

90-day money-back guarantee: if you are unhappy with the product, email us within 90 days of your first paid month and we will refund the most recent month, no questions asked. Edge case: if we detect abusive usage (e.g. >5× the median monthly steps), we may decline a refund and explain why in writing.

5. Content rights

You own everything you input and everything we generate for you. We retain a non-exclusive license to display your generations to you and to use anonymized, aggregated patterns to improve the product (e.g. average tweet length per niche). We never sell your data.

6. AI disclaimers

AI generations may be inaccurate, biased, or repetitive. You are responsible for reviewing every output before publishing. We provide tools, not guarantees. Do not rely on us for legal, medical, or financial advice.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but provide no SLA on free or trial accounts. Paid customers may request service credits via the support email if downtime exceeds 4 hours in a calendar month.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Data. Deletion is permanent within 30 days.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
